Team List Module Documentation

Introduction

Group Package 1 websites contain a mix of default verbiage and imagery, with your group's details. This is managed for you by Scouts Online. There is no ability change the settings.

If you'd like to upgrade to a higher package level, please contact us.

Your website package doesn't include this module. If you'd like to upgrade to a higher package level, please contact us.

Display your GroupDistrict County Leadership Team, Trustee Board and Sectional Teamother team tables.

Show your volunteers, members and parent and members who to contact for specific reasons. Website visitors will be able to click on a team member from the list to see their public contact details, biography and use a contact form to get in touch with them, without the need of publishing their email address.

The team lists on the sectional Meet The Team pages are set, but the Team Lists on the Members pages, and on your own pages are fully configurable.

Team Lists include a bunch of display types to fit in with your web pages and scenarios.

Use Cases

The following panels show specific tasks. Click on a panel to see the procedures.

Setup a Basic Team List

Setup a team list module or add one to your own pages.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Tick all the Teams that you want to include
  • Select the table display type for each team ticked. In Fig. 1, this is set to 'Small Table'
  • If you want to combine all team members into a single list, tick the Combine teams in One List. If there is only one Team ticked, of you want to allow the website visitor to pick the team to view, then leave this un-ticked.
  • Set the Animation Fields as required
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes

NB. If you make a mistake, you may reverse the change in the Admin/Admin Audit Trail

Change the Display Type

Select the display type of the team list.

Select the display type of the team list. You can choose a different style for each team, but if they are combined, only one style will be used.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Change the display type of each team ticked
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes

NB. If you make a mistake, you may reverse the change in the Admin/Admin Audit Trail

Limit the List Height

Limit the height of your team list.

To avoid having a very long list of team members, you may limit the display height and add a scrollbar, if required.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Set the Max Height field to the maximum number of pixels to display, with a "px" suffix. E.g. 500px - See Fig. 1
    You will see that the team list shown in Fig. 2 now has a vertical scroll bar, to allow all team members to be viewed, but without having a long list on your web page.
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes

Multiple Teams in One List

The Team List module can include multiple teams. These can be combined into a single table or to allow the website visitor to select the team they want to see.

To show multiple teams, combined into one list, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Tick all the Teams that you want to include
  • Select the same table display type for each team ticked. In Fig. 1, these are set to 'Small Table'
  • Tick the Combine Teams in One List
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes

To allow the website visitor to select the individual team to view. Each team can have a different display type.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Tick all the Teams that you want to include
  • Select the table display types for each team ticked
  • Leave the Combine Teams in One List field un-ticked, to enable the team selector - See Fig. 3
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes

Show Your Medals and Awards

Good Service awards can be shown on default profile images within Team Lists

Good Service, Gallantry, Meritorious Conduct, Long Service and Other Award badges can be shown when a clicks a profile image in a Team List.

You can add Good Service, Gallantry, Meritorious Conduct, Long Service and Other Awards to you volunteer's user records.

Good Service medals are displayed on default user profile images in the Team List modules. If the website visitor clicks on a profile image, it will display their details, along with adult award badges.

To add awards to a user record, follow the steps shown here.

Animate a Team List

The display of the members in Team Lists may be animated as part of your website theme, but you can animate the whole module's appearance.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Set the Animation type
  • Set a Delay if you don't want the animation to start immediately
  • Set the Speed of the animation
  • Set the number of Repeats
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes
  • See the Animation Settings for more details
