Panel Controller Module Documentation

Introduction

Group Package 1 websites contain a mix of default verbiage and imagery, with your group's details. This is managed for you by Scouts Online. There is no ability change the settings.

If you'd like to upgrade to a higher package level, please contact us.

The Panel Controller has been used on some standard Scouts Online web pages to hide content so that new features can be added without affecting existing websites.

You may decide that you want to show this content by switching the Panel Controller on. You can also set the animation fields for the panel to draw attention to the content.

Examples of these can be found on the following pages:

Watch this space for future enhancements
Home page: To show/hide neckerchief images/lists for each of your groups
Groups/Group Details: To show/hide team members for the group
Groups/Group Details: To show/hide news directly from the groups' Scouts Online package 3 website
Members/Adult Training: To show/hide the training module link panels
Members/Volunteer Training: To show/hide the training module link panels

Use Cases

The following panels show specific tasks. Click on a panel to see the procedures.

Switch On/Off a Panel

Show the content within a Panel Controller on your website.

You may display the hidden content within a Panel Controller on your website.

To do this, follow these steps:

Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
Tick the Show field
Set the Animation Fields as required
Click to keep your changes or to abandon your changes

Animate the Panel

Animate the way content in the Panel Controller is displayed.

You may animate the way content in the Panel Controller is displayed.

To do this, follow these steps:

Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
Set the Animation Fields as required
Click to keep your changes or to abandon your changes

NB. If you make a mistake, you may reverse the change in the Admin/Admin Audit Trail
