OSM Flexi-Record Table Module Documentation

Introduction

Your website package level doesn't include OSM integrations. If you'd like to upgrade to a higher package level, please contact us.

The OSM integrations is only available on Scouts Online Group websites.

Online Scout Manager has a feature to allow you to store information about members in a flex-record table. This information can be displayed on your Scouts Online website.

You can add a Flex-Record Table module to your own web pages to show a specific flexi-record directly from OSM.

Adding a Flexi-Record in OSM

Instructions of how to add a Flexi-Record inside Online Scout Manager.

You can add a Flexi-Record in OSM to hold your own column details. You can show the Flexi-Record directly on your Scouts Online website.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Login to OnlineScoutManager.co.uk and select your section
  • In the Members area, open Flexi-Records
  • Click + Create Flexi Record
  • Enter a Name for your flexi-record
  • You may total columns
  • You can also display the members Birthday, Age and Lodge/Six/Patrol
  • When done, click Create Flexi Record. See Fig. 1
  • Open your new flexi-record in OSM
  • Click Manage Columns and then + Add Column to add your details columns
  • Add data/information in each column for your members. See Fig. 2

Show a Flexi-Record on a Page

You can show details from a OSM flexi-record on your website.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Click the settings below the module and override the default settings (see here) or add a module to your own pages, using the Page Designer
  • Select a Flexi-Record from the list
  • Select a Header Style. See Fig. 2
  • Select a Row Style. See Fig. 3
  • Set the Animation Fields as required
  • Click Save to keep your changes or Cancel to abandon your changes

Hide Members' Surnames

There are a few options to keep the names of your members hidden.

There are a few options to keep the names of your members hidden.

To do this, follow these steps:

  • Login with a Site Admin username and password
  • Either of these, will stop public website visitors from seeing your member's surnames:
    1. Set the web page's privacy to 'Logged in users only'. See Fig. 1

    2. Change the OSM Integration settings:
      • Open Admin/Group Details
      • Click OSM Integration
      • Set the Patrol Member Privacy to 'Logged in users only' or 'Users with Site Admin authority only' See Fig. 2
