Active Support

Scout Active Support

Scout Active Support allows people to give their time to Scouting on a flexible basis. People can still be involved in Scouting without the full-time commitment of being a leader.

Join the Winchester Scout Active Support Unit (SAS)

The Active Support Unit is a team of adult volunteers in Winchester to support the District Commissioner and the District Team and you can support us behind the scenes.

These can range from helping a Group or a Section with a particular issue to organising a fund-raising exercise or a District Quiz, to welcoming prospective new leaders tea and cakes at a recruiting or induction event. There is nothing that they haven't turned their hands to before.

Many have been in Winchester scouting for several years and apart from being keen to continue to serve Scouting they also enjoy an active social programme of walks, skittles evenings and meeting up in our best local pubs for a drink and a gossip.

So do get in touch. Come and join them. These are part of the reason why Winchester Scouts are growing at five times the national average. We are a big part of that success story. Come and find out why!
